The Clinical Trial Med Tech is responsible for processing all clinical samples from patients on clinical trials at the institute. The tech needs to follow and comply with lab procedures provided by study sponsors and study teams. The tech also serves as a lab resource for study teams. The tech must comply with all institute policies regarding the confidentiality of patient information and lawful use of any computerized patient data. This position is for 12-8:30 pm on the Chestnut Hill Campus.This role will start on the Longwood campus and will transition to the new ambulatory center in Chestnut Hill in January 2021
Process samples as indicated in provided lab manuals.
Procedures include but are not limited to serum/plasma separation, isolation and enumeration of mononuclear cells and preparation of slides.
Preparation of reagents and media
Maintain all record keeping and QC requirements as needed
Follows all safety and infection control guidelines
Sound judgement and critical thinking skills to follow complex flowcharts and lab procedures
Strong interpersonal skills, working as part of a team and interacting with several disease centers
Detail oriented, ability to multi task and follow through
Assists study teams with data and sample information for internal and external audits
Flexibility to cover alternate work schedules as needed
MLT (ASCP) or nationally recognized equivalent with 1-3 years experience preferred
Excellent organization and communication skills
