Overview
The Senior Administrative Specialist, Donor Management provides administrative support for the senior most fundraisers at Dana-Farber Cancer institute including the Senior Vice President (SVP) & Chief Philanthropy Officer within the Division of Philanthropy, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s (DFCI) President, and President Emerita. Reporting to the Senior Administrative Director in the Office of the Senior Vice President, this role is focused on philanthropy engagement of the highest-level donors and potential supporters to raise philanthropic funds in support of DFCI’s research and patient care mission. You will handle details of a highly confidential and critical nature and must function efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced professional environment. You will serve as the primary liaison between internal and external constituents on behalf of the SVP and Office of the President. As a member of the Division of Philanthropy, this role will assist the entire Division to reach its financial goals. Key responsibilities include donor meeting and event scheduling, preparation, and follow up, and drafting, editing, and sending correspondence, proposals, briefings, presentations, and reports to support introductions, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Additional responsibilities include collaborating across the Division of Philanthropy to create and distribute resources and training materials, manage deadlines, support and track next steps and actions, manage deadlines, create and circulate reports and presentations, create and implement systems to support strategic engagement opportunities. This role requires a strong working knowledge of ClearView, Event Management System (EMS), Microsoft Office Applications including SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The onboarding of this role will include a comprehensive training process which includes completion of online modules, shadowing colleagues, as well as hands-on learning experiences throughout the first calendar year in the role.

This position is considered partial onsite, 2-3 days in the office at 10 Brookline Place, Brookline, MA each week. DFCI guidelines state that employees must reside in New England: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont.
