The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a visionary leader to join our team as the Enterprise Release Manager, serving our esteemed research community across the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center (DF/HCC) consortium. The DF/HCC is comprised of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and the Harvard School of Public Health.
The Enterprise Release Manager is a key leader in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of software releases across multiple research applications and platforms within Research Informatics Operations (RIO). RIO is a subdivision of the DFCI Research Informatics and Analytics (I&A) department led by the Chief Health Information Officer.
This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and executing software deployments while minimizing disruption to critical research activities. It requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, deep expertise in release management processes, and the ability to align technical infrastructure with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex release cycles, ensuring high-quality software delivery, and fostering collaboration across diverse teams. Additionally, the candidate will be adept at implementing automated testing strategies to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the software development lifecycle. This includes integrating automated testing tools and frameworks into the release process to ensure comprehensive test coverage and rapid feedback, thereby maintaining the integrity and performance of software systems.
