Overview
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) and Deerfield Management have created the Center for Protein Degradation (CPD) at DFCI. The CPD has created a next-generation protein degrader and molecular glue platform to advance novel therapeutic modalities. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a newly founded research center that is pushing the boundaries of targeted protein degradation research and accelerating the translation of basic science into clinical solutions. Join our highly interactive team of scientists where we are creating new avenues of therapeutic intervention.
Our Culture
CPD believes...
The Center for Protein Degradation (CPD) is seeking a Scientist to join the Biology team. The individual will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to identify and characterize novel molecular glues and degraders.
Located in Boston and the surrounding communities, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a leader in life changing breakthroughs in cancer research and patient care. We are united in our mission of conquering cancer, HIV/AIDS and related diseases. We strive to create an inclusive, diverse, and equitable environment where we provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients of all backgrounds, and design programs to promote public health particularly among high-risk and underserved populations. We conduct groundbreaking research that advances treatment, we educate tomorrow's physician/researchers, and we work with amazing partners, including other Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospitals.
Job Summary
The Center for Protein Degradation (CPD) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled SCIENTIST to join our biology team. The successful candidate will lead various projects focused on developing molecular glues and degrader molecules for cancer treatment. Utilizing cutting-edge molecular biology and functional genomics techniques, the candidate will identify and validate novel therapeutic modalities and elucidate the mechanisms of small molecule glues. Collaboration with internal researchers and external academic partners will be essential to design and develop innovative molecular biology screening methods. The candidate will provide strategic insights into research directions, contribute hands-on to the research, and regularly present progress to the team.
