Overview

Stock expediter will be delivering all orders and products to end users throughout the DFCI campus. Deliveries will include but not limited to FedEx/UPS/DHL overnight (letters/packs/boxes) shipments, Dry Ice, requested PO and MSR orders processed thru People Soft. Will assist as necessary moving between Dry Dock central receiving location and Binney St warehouse location.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate ERP/Workday transactions and maintain overall system and inventory data integrity.
  • Serve as the main contact for order-related questions, responding promptly to internal end-user inquiries and resolving order issues.
  • Receive incoming materials by unloading, counting, inspecting for damage, and verifying shipments against purchase orders.
  • Fill, process, and deliver orders across the DFCI campus, including work orders, clinic (stock) orders, and overnight express packages.
  • Manage package receipt and delivery documentation using Zebra handheld devices, including required signatures and delivery photos.
  • Maintain inventory levels by monitoring par stock, processing delivery labels, updating records, and supporting timely replenishment.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, purchasing, production, warehouse, and facilities teams to support large equipment deliveries, material distribution, and resolution of supply or delivery issues.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of applicable policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Workday ERP system experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and push or pull loaded stock carts is required.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Experience with using Workday preferred.
  • Experience with an ERP application (Workday) preferred.

License/Certification/Registration Required:

Valid driver’s license

Must pass a MA Dept. Of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card Exam. Provided by DFCI Occ Health if necessary.
