• Finance: In consultation with the Vice President for Radiation Oncology, determines financial priorities and budgetary needs for a department of over 100 employees across 3 operating departments at different locations. Oversees the department's operating budget process by providing tools, making recommendations, and preparing a summary to Executive Leadership for an operating budget of over $250 million (both revenue and expenses. Responsible developing and maintaining capital budgets. Manages vendor contracts and ensures timely payment for all services. Will support any new collaborations/partnerships and assist in developing new affiliates. Acts as primary department liaison with Finance. Trains management-level employees on department's finance including budget input, variance reports, PCN management, etc.
• Analytics: Oversees the development and maintenance of data reporting, focusing on operations, strategic initiatives, staff performance, and staff retention. Uses a variety of analytical tools and techniques to identify and understand business needs and recommend solutions to support business growth. Handles complex and multi-part analyses and prepare summaries of key findings to leadership. Creates business cases for departmental strategic initiatives. Partners with DFCI Enterprise Data and Analytics team to develop data dashboards to support decision making.
• Staffing: Manages department staffing levels through analysis and make recommendations to leadership, resulting in continued departmental growth to support institute adult operations. Manages department PCNs and staffing rosters to ensure positions are allocated accurately and vacancies are filled promptly, makes recommendations for repurposing salary dollars. Creates business case templates, including key quantitative and qualitative data for various positions across the functional areas in the department. Oversees monthly internal position control process by ensuring templates are current and used effectively, facilitates meetings, and makes recommendations for prioritization to leadership.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of healthcare operations as well as budgeting and accounting processes.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Aptitude for gaining Institute’s knowledge, culture, and business acumen.
• Strong attention to detail and creative and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of management and staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite as well as data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Epic, etc.).
• Ability to exemplify teamwork.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare or Business Administration. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5+ years of demonstrated financial management, data analysis, project management, or related experiences.

Pay Transparency Statement
The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
