Overview

We are seeking a highly organized associate with excellent communication skills and follow-through to administratively support our Dana-Farber translational research laboratory focused on mechanisms of head and neck cancer immunotherapy response/resistance. Work will include procurement, purchasing, purchase tracking and reimbursements using the Workday system.

This will be a part-time position anticipated to require 5 hours per week. Hybrid work or work-from-home will be supported for this role. The successful candidate will report to the laboratory principal investigator directly and coordinate and communicate with other laboratory personnel.

  • Facilitate research operations by coordinating or carrying out tasks related to equipment, materials stocks, facilities, and shipping and receiving
  • Support shipping and receiving for group or department
  • Assist with the maintenance of laboratory stocks, such as plastic- and glassware
  • May assist financial coordinators on matters related to purchasing, shipping and receiving and reimbursements
  • MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    The position prefers a bachelor’s degree. Strong English reading and speaking skills are highly desirable. Prior work experience demonstrating reliability and the required skills is preferred.

  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Will report to the laboratory Principal Investigator, Research Operations Coordinator or group administrator. Operates under general supervision with well established guidelines for the majority of duties.
