Combining extremely talented people with the best technologies in a genuinely positive environment, we provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients of all ages; we conduct research that advances treatment; we educate tomorrow's physician/researchers; we reach out to underserved members of our community; and we work with amazing partners, including other Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospitals.
The Fischer Lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a Structural and Chemical Biology Lab that combines a broad range of laboratory techniques to study the pathways and protein complexes involved in the regulation of protein homeostasis often associated with human diseases, including cancer. Using our knowledge of the cellular degradation machinery, we use structure and computational guided approaches to develop and test new molecules that hijack the ubiquitin proteasome system for targeted protein degradation. Combining fundamental mechanistic insights with translational chemical biology research, we are pioneering new therapeutic avenues.
The Fischer lab (https://fischerlab.dana-farber.org/) seeks a highly motivated individual to join the team as a RESEARCH TECHNICIAN, who will employ mass spectrometry-based technologies to assess the cellular proteome in response to external stimuli. This individual will be an important member of our core team and will work with technicians, scientists, postdocs and students on a variety of different research projects focused on targeted protein degradation as a novel therapeutic modality.
