The Financial Information System and Reporting Lead will play a key role within the Financial Information Systems (Financial IS) team, supporting the Institute’s financial and operational reporting infrastructure acting as a central driver in the continuous design, implementation and optimization of Workday and Reporting functionality. This position will be reporting to the Senior Financial Planning Systems Strategist and is responsible for leading/strategizing with the business departments to design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards in Workday, Adaptive Insights, Prism/Accounting Center, OfficeConnect, and Microsoft Excel. This role will also play an integral part as a configuration admin on the team, partnering with the Business to understand their needs and priorities to make the necessary and appropriate configuration changes/updates. The Financial Information System and Reporting Lead will partner closely with Central IS, Finance, Accounting, HR, Operations, and Research teams to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable insights that drive informed decision-making and support the Institute’s mission and financial stewardship goals.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assessment of new system functionality and implementation of new reporting tools for Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Research.
- Develop and maintain financial and operational reports and dashboards in Workday, Adaptive Insights, OfficeConnect, and Excel. - Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting systems.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Document reporting logic, key metrics, and data sources for transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline reporting processes and workflows.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to business users on Workday and Adaptive reporting tools.
- Partner with the Financial Planning Systems Senior Strategist and Financial IS team to ensure alignment with institutional data architecture, reporting strategy, and system best practices.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functional areas, including Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Research.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain Workday reports
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with Workday Prism Analytics or other business intelligence tools is a plus.
Understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and research administration processes preferred.
Minimum Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information systems, or a related field required.
- 5 years of experience with Workday Administration required.
- At least one Workday Implementation or post-go-live optimization cycle required, preferably in Healthcare.
- 5 years of Experience in a healthcare, research, or higher education environment, Workday Report Writer, Adaptive Insights (Planning & Reporting), Workday Prism, and OfficeConnect preferred.
License/Certification/Registration Required:
- Workday Reporting Certification preferred.

The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
