Core Duties, Requirements, and Expectations:
Design, conduct, troubleshoot, and validate hypothesis-driven and hypothesis-generating experiments using in vitro and in vivo approaches.
Perform and oversee in vivo imaging, therapy, and small animal irradiation studies, both independently and in partnership with other lab members and collaborators.
Mentoring of research technicians and students.
Willingness to work with radioactivity and animal models.
Analyze experimental data meticulously, interpreting results to generate comprehensive reports and summaries of findings.
Interpret, discuss, and present research findings with lab members and the principal investigator.
Take ownership of day-to-day planning of own experiments.
Develop figures to depict research findings, write research and review papers, and present at scientific meetings.
Write grants for external fellowships and awards.
Maintain intellectual curiosity and commitment by staying up to date with relevant literature and research publications.
Qualifications
PhD, MD/PhD, MD or doctoral equivalent in relevant discipline, including molecular imaging, chemistry, radiopharmaceutical sciences, radiation biology, DNA damage repair, cancer biology, or biochemistry. Strong candidates from other biomedical fields will also be considered.
Proven experience with in vivo fluorescence, molecular, or radiopharmaceutical techniques is highly desirable. Experience investigating the biological effects of radiation exposure, such as DNA damage and repair, and proficiency in molecular and cellular biology techniques, is also advantageous.
Interest in molecular imaging, radioligand therapy, radiotheranostics, and cancer biology.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Evidence of consistent scientific innovation. Proven track record of publications in peer reviewed journals.
Ability to perform both self-directed and guided research is required.
Demonstrate outstanding ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team of scientists.
Self-motivated with excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
Able to collect and analyze experimental data, prepare research publications, and communicate results with strong attention to detail.

Pay Transparency Statement
The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
