Postdoctoral Research Fellow – D’Andrea Lab
Location: Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA
Qualifications: PhD or MD required
About Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
Located in the heart of Boston’s Longwood Medical Area, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a leading center for cancer research and treatment. As an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, Dana-Farber brings together internationally recognized scientists, physicians, and healthcare professionals in a shared mission to conquer cancer and related diseases. We are committed to discovery, innovation, and translating groundbreaking research into clinical practice—all in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Position Summary
The D'Andrea lab investigates chromosome instability and susceptibility to cancer. Our laboratory examines the molecular signaling pathways which regulate the DNA damage response in mammalian cells. Disruption of these pathways, by germline or somatic mutation, leads to genomic instability, cellular sensitivity to ionizing radiation, and defective cell cycle checkpoints and DNA repair. These pathways are often disrupted in cancer cells, accounting for the chromosome instability and increased mutation frequency in human tumors. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join a dynamic team investigating the molecular basis of genomic stability and DNA repair mechanisms in human cancers. The candidate will work in a cutting-edge research environment with access to advanced molecular biology tools and technologies.
